Jayden is a Regina-based independent theatre artist whose practice as an actor, director, improviser, and new work creator has spanned more than 20 years.
Jayden is an Artistic Associate with Curtain Razors, and has been integral to operations and vision of this multidisciplinary performance company. He has helped to create Curtain Razors performance and community-based projects since 2015.
Jayden is known by colleagues and audiences as a instinctual improviser, thoughtful storyteller and dextrous collaborator. His aptitude to work physically in his art-making gives him a unique signature in the field of theatre practice.

Teaching
Jayden is an instructor with over 20 years of professional teaching experience. He specializes in improvisation, ensemble work, and new work creation.
He holds a BFA and MFA from the University of Regina, and teaches sessionally at the UofR for the Department of Media, Art, and Performance, the nitôncipâmin omâ Student Success Program, and SUNTEP (Gabriel Dumont Institute).
Jayden was the Regional Director for the Canadian Improv Games (CIG) in Saskatchewan for 10 years, and helped run the national CIG Improv Camp for 6 years.
Voice Work
Jayden has been a voice actor throughout his career. Since 2001, his voice work has been featured in CBC radio plays, short stories and poetry, improvised and scripted comedy programs, live radio performances, and technical support videos.
Improvisation & Comedy
Jayden has been an improviser for over 25 years, and has performed at improv theatre houses and international festivals throughout Canada and the US.
He was a core member of Regina’s General Fools Improvisational Theatre from 1997-2015, and was the creator and producer of General Fools Festival for its 5-year lifespan (2009-2013).
Jayden’s monthly comedy variety show, Red Hot Riot with Jayden Pfeifer, ran for seven seasons in Regina (2011-2017), and he has hosted the film comedy show TALKIES at the RPL Film Theatre since 2013.
